This may be a stupid question

I started playing LOMSE again recently. I raided a lot of dungeons and other lairs from levels 8-11, and I ended up traveling to an island where there was a lich castle. Well the legendary champion in the lich castle cast a spell on all my troops that looks like a black/purple fog. After the battle ended, that spell effect persisted and kept eating away at all the troops in my party every turn. I tried multiple things to get rid of it... healing at the Water faith legendary building, using rejuv potions, allowing my units to get to 1 health to see if the effect dissipates and nothing seemed to work. Question is.. how do i get rid of that spell effect ?

The Spell you describe is Locust swarm. as far as i know, it is not supposed to have any effect after combat. there have been problems about spells persisting for forever in the past. you should put this on the report/bugs thread, and post your gs-version (!).

Any spell effect that is supposed to harm you after combat should be removable by visiting the temple of a capitol and choosing "exorcism". you will pay some crystals for it.
and, at least in combat, you can dispell it if you have a mage of a higher level than the original caster was. you obviously need to have researched counterspell/dispelling first.

Golgoth's Gift. This is pre-GS5 in the way you got it, through combat.

Exorcise at temple, not heal.

Thank you Boaster

It happened again as I was playing as Air.. the first dungeon i raided with my air thief had 2 necromancer champions in it. I ran around the entire game with Golgoth's Gift :'(

Thank god I had found an artifact bow that healed me to full after every battle
