I'd like to open a single player challenge to all GS5R mod users.
Play on Hard difficulty and use standard settings (No Lord Editor), then complete the following quests in order.
Quest 1: Liberate your Great Temple. Quest 2: Acquire your Secondary artifact. Quest 3: Acquire your Legendary artifact. Quest 4: Defeat Death and your opposite faith. If you are Life, defeat Death and Chaos. If you are Death, defeat Life and Order.
With each quest you complete, record the turn you do it on. Providing a screenshot will help. Host it on imageshack and post the thumbnail which links to a larger image.
By the way, don't use cheats.
Have fun.

I thought I was the only one who let my whole merc party die so that my champions got insane exp. I've got it down to a science too. edit: Actually I see you purchased magical units. If you use your champions to train your units a bit you can just hire mercs and save some money. They're just gonna die anyway, why sacrifice magical beings

They're just gonna die anyway, why sacrifice magical beings In GS5R, you can only hire mercenaries from buildings created off of villages and only Military and Champions can be hired as Mercenaries. This is exactly while mercenaries may only be hired from villages (and level 0 capitals), is because people cheese mercenaries for experience hording. Also, Mercenaries cannot be trained. They're hireable with natural experience based on the Level of the Building and the current turn. I used creatures to save on followers, to maintain production efforts.

I can try! I always play on hard anyway and I'd eventualy be able to do it but not before turn, unless I got very lucky. I like to take my time but I've been meaning to try and play more competitively in preparation for multi-player so I'll give it a go I notice your screen interface looks different than the one's in my game, I'm using your mod but I don't get the smart looking background to my popups? Do I need to change my setings or something?

It'll be the most bottom mod.

Wow, nice man, [Laugh out Loud]. That Chain Lightning for your youtube video looked buggy [Laugh out Loud]. It just seemed way too strong, and killing Balkoth in 2 spells? [Laugh out Loud].

Wow, nice man, [Laugh out Loud]. That Chain Lightning for your youtube video looked buggy [Laugh out Loud]. It just seemed way too strong, and killing Balkoth in 2 spells? [Laugh out Loud]. It was because Balkoth was surrounded by a few units, and the second shockwave of chain lightning has a small radius to it. Chain Lightning is a spell of itself. It will hit a modest radius of units. Then, each unit hit by Chain Lightning will get hit again by Lightning II, which has a small radius on it. Balkoth was the target of Chain Lightning, plus Lightning II, plus additional bolts of Lightning II for each unit adjacent to him. Balkoth was Level 11 and Loddor was Level 12+. Lightning II is only fatal to units with a level lower than the caster. In Balkoth's case, he was lower in level. He took 5 + 1/2 damage from Chain Lightning. Then he took 11 damage for each shot from Lightning II, which does 1 point of damage for each level the target has. He took 11 damage from Chain Lightning, then 11 damage from Lightning II, then 11 damage for each additional bolt from nearby units. I don't think any unit could survive that, save for a unit with 75% or more Air Resistance or a Legendary Creature with 99 hit points.
