You cannot play the GS5R2, as updated after 11/05/2008, without the PIC5R2.mpq. Before the aforementioned date, the PIC5R.mpq is sufficient.
The PIC5R2.mpq is backwards compatible and therefore may be used with any previous version of the GS5 mod.
