A player character can choose both, a builder class and a battle class. I don't see any incentive for players to be just builders, artisans, or craftsmen.
Separation would simply mean they aren't a choice like battle classes. A player can be a Wizard, but has the option for a different "civilian" study outside of their choice of Battle class. I'm thinking if builders are stand alone they would be able to guild together for that purpose. It still is similar to other MMO's but I'm going to make sure I differentiate. Sorry for the confusion.
If there's any chance of the game being made our LOM:SE Champion, Boaster, would be the one to lead us to victory. Whether he convince Vivendi to license it out to Tilted Mill, or convince Activision's division to get their developers in gear just so long as it happens.

I hope he can too. I don't know if he has any plans. I don't really have contact with Vivendi nor am a leader of the LOM community or else I would.
I can get into some games but I can't help imagining how it's like/dislike LOM:SE. The only genre I can't compare to LOM:SE is Sci-fi... thank goodness!

There is one way I was able to play LOM2... pen and paper. I'm not really into D&D but I did buy the Monster Manual when I was younger. Since advanced classes are in the Dungeon Masters Guide I bought that too.
My best friend found out. He took it the wrong way; He thought I was a secret D&D fan. Soon my books got old and my friend got all 3.5 edition books when they came out. He ended up surprising me when he invited me over one day. He had a complete group just waiting for me to arrive. He became the Dungeon Master. Once he got me playing more he offered me DM. I made an 8 faiths scenario with my own twist on races and classes. We had fun but I really needed to distance myself from them (I wasn't a D&D guy plus he was taking it too far).
He got other groups and people to play, every now and then coercing me to play. I'm still astonished how much he put into it, and all the people he got playing that are mutual friends. I know my friend didn't like D&D because I taught him about it many years ago. It wasn't well received.
He is very competitive and brought up I made more friends than him in college. To protect our friendship I assured him I did not because I don't even like those people (same college). He was disappointed I never warmly received his groups or was enthusiastic to play.

Heh, thanks. No regrets! There's more but I don't think this thread is the place for College drama.
