www.gameranger.com/A program that may yet allow us LOM'ers to play LOMSE through the internet once again. Much simpler than Kali, GameRanger allows for free play or paid play (paid accounts get more options). I need one person, or more, to help me establish a means of creating games and testing to see if I can get them to work (at this point without configuring my router/firewall). If anyone has Yahoo, MSN Messenger or AOL Messenger, you're the perfect candidate to help me. Send me a private message through the forum with your messenger name. Will be testing with the latest update of the GS5R2 mod. So be sure to download that first. Will be using version 300 executable, standard LOMSE retail version. Setup your gameranger account and download the program as well. I managed to get some help from someone who had already been playing LOMSE on there. Got the game to work pretty easily.
Strangely enough, I did have to re-install LOMSE so they game would let me create a game. Registry data must've been removed somehow.
But anyway, if anyone is willing to play LOMSE multiplayer now then Gameranger is the way to do it.
NOTE: From my experience, games with 3 or 4 players tend to be more unstable. It is best to play games with 2 players.

If it creates a virtual IPX protocol over TCP/IP like Kali allegedly does (I've not tested that either), then I'm willing to give it a try since I use Vista. (And yes, I like Vista )

I actually tried to start LOMSE using the GS5R2 mod with someone.
Turns out GameRanger likes to automatically setup the game in multiplayer mode with names and everything.
When the host launches the game, using the mod, the client players are stuck "waiting for host."
So no go on the GS5R2 mod as of yet over Gameranger. I have set an email to Gameranger mentioning the details I've gathered. No response yet.

me n my bro tryed to connect me n him are in the same room so we have same gs mod no li=uck tho Gameranger will not work with the GS5R2 mod, and the creator of GameRanger apparently has no intention of adding support for it.
