You have to play on hard mode and the great temple level must be placed at level 9 or greater. Otherwise, no, you do not get heirs as rescued captives, just champions.
Additionally, you guys should know I've been pouring an average of 8 hours a day into this update.
I could take a few days off work and haul some ass, getting things closer to a release, but I cannot afford to take off work.

Does anyone know about "detect thief" ability? Don't see an answer

Nice, I was actually wanting to play with everyone having all of their lords when playing as not-death. Is this something that's going to be added in the future? I see no such button on current version and there's no PIKFAITH5.gs in gs.mpq Edit: nevermind, can't read. Hopefully this is something that's going to happen soon. As I said I really love the "everyone gets each lords" thing so right now it only being available to death is kind of a shame. ALthough does that also means the two other lords from your faction will also be able to be liberated at the great temple? The AI start with two heirs which are random lords of their faith I believe. Boaster- Does this mean they their normal lord plus two additional random lords of their faith including death when controlled by AI?

Does anyone know about "detect thief" ability? Don't see an answer According to the manual, the "detect thief" ability works during battle and on overland map to reveal thieves as they move. Once the ear appears alongside of a thief, they have a better than usual chance at detecting thieves moving through their radius of sight as long as they don't move.

I meant DEFAULT speed. Those get resetted whenever you leave the game or you start a new game (actually, for the latter, only world speed get changed back for some reason). Or is it supposed to remember the speed you set it on after leaving the game? Because for me It's not saving.

It would be better to consider file "gs5r.cfg" as it will actually work.
Additionally, always look for Options in the game menu.

I'm looking at the gs5r.cfg file and this is what I have:
/combat_scrolling 4 def /world_scrolling 4 def ; RANGE MUST BE 1-30. /logs_enabled? true def /artifact_log_on? true def /combat_log_on? true def /thief_log_on? true def /spell_log_on? true def ; MUST BE true OR false, ONLY LOWER CASE. /live_autocalc? false def
there doesn't seem to be anything about speed
Edit: Oh and of course there's an option in the extended options menu but It's just like using the hotkeys, changing those and then leaving the game and coming back will revert them

I feel like there's some sort of setting we can use but It's not used in the file. I changed the "GAME_SPEED" from 66(default) but did not affect it at all. I also tried adding this code the gs5r.cfg and raising it to 77 but did not do anything.

Unless something changes, the next update should be out before the end of the month.
