Maybe you know about this one already, but I've come across a very nasty glitch.
1. Cast a projectile-based spell
2. Move the screen with the arrow keys rapidly
3. Watch in amazement as the projectile flies into the target nearly instantaneously. Every movement by an arrow key will push the projectile ahead by one frame-step, even if the game is at minimal speed or paused.
Fire Fury, Blades of Fury, and Vortex will actually blow past their destination, or even fly right off the battlefield. Spell projectile movements caused by the arrow keys apparently don't deduct from the total movement they have to make. These spells can be rendered completely useless just by mashing the arrow keys.
I'm more concerned of what this can mean for multiplayer. I'm almost certain that the above scenarios would cause de-syncs. After all, if one person does it and the other doesn't, the projectiles are going to hit at wildly different times. And who knows how many other events might be affected by this quirk?
It may be best not to touch the arrow keys during multiplayer. I know the latest GS5 release has a mode to slow the mouse scroll down to normal. The problem is, I've got a habit of using the arrow keys that has stuck for the past few years!
I don't know what else to say. Just a heads up in case you didn't know about this.

You may have pointed out what makes combat easily break out of sync in multiplayer. One person using arrow keys to view around the map and the other not could cause both players to see two different things and thus cause a tear in the game, which would require a resync. I would just say don't use the arrow keys in multiplayer, in combat, unless combat is paused.
