I dont know if you ever considered this, but I think it would be cool to add a couple unit avatars, perhaps orc warlord ( there's only 1) and other units and heroes, because lets face it some of them could be cooler.I still admire the guy who did the drawings in the game because he really has a style, but it looks like he didnt really gave the same amount of time to everything he drew. Lizardmen, footmen, stickthrowers, dwarves, etc could use a better avatar. I study in 3d modeling and Im also an artist, so of course Id be up to draw them, just need to know if its possible and most important if you would put them into the game if I do them. Those are simply amazing! I would seriously consider adding them to the game. The portraits are 70x67. Though I will tell you right now, I don't know if the game will accept them once I convert them to the format the game reads. It's real touchy in that aspect. If you'd like to come up with a bunch of replacement icons, that will work and be practical. But as far as adding brand new icons would require a new pic5r2 and coding changes, to this point I'm going to avoid doing. When I released the pic5r, I tried to add all of the graphics I could so that I would not have a need to re-release it. I don't think people enjoy the confusion of figuring out which pic5r version they need to go with their mod, and from what date. But I eventually learned new things about how I could add graphics without changing existing ones. I could definitely host an image pack which users can add to their own archives. In fact, I would love to see additional artifact portraits. Maybe down the line, I don't know when, I may do a GS6 mod and maybe I could work with you on a pic6.mpq to go with that mod. |

Do you think you could try emulating the style of the current avatars? O: Not completely, of course.

It would be my preference to use concept art for the unit icons, because the icons the game uses already look like concept art.

Awesome, Ill draw a couple, hand them to you and you see what you can do with em. Of course if you have to release nother version of your mod just for that, then I wont do them.
And yeah, Ill emulate the style of the current ones, I love his style and I dont want mine to be worse or too different.

Update: I went ahead and did 4 today, could draw those in around 1h 30, Id say it takes about 30 mins to draw 1 head. Tell me what you think, Ill need critics here, and also ideas of which to draw, so yeah if you want a new artwork for 1 in particular, Ill gladly do it. thats good to know, never used imageshack before and tinypic didnt give this option.

I was planning the following, which I think deserve a remake : Eagles, Elven cavalry, footmen, fire sorceress queen, dark javelins, dwarven infantry, and a couple more I think but I cant remember. |

Actually I wasnt so proud of this barbarian icon, Ill do a better one for the lord, maybe you can put this one as a champion only. Ill do a few today and post em tonight. |

I was just using the Lord icon temporarily, because I had spending time with randomized champion faces to actually get it.
