This is something I have come back to several times through out modding, and I find myself back again.
Unit experience per Level!
I try to settle on something that I think will work, but it sits well for awhile but doesn't feel "mathematically right." To me anyway.
This is the scale I'd like to use with experience:
Lord Type: [500 1000 2000 3000 5000 8000 13000 21000 34000 55000 89000 144000 233000 377000]
Champion Type: [400 800 1600 2400 4000 6800 10800 17600 28400]
-or-
Lord Type: [500 1000 1500 2500 4000 6500 10500 17000 27500 44500 72000 116500 188500 305000]
Champion Type: [400 800 1200 2000 3200 5200 8400 13600 22000]
Basically, the next level builds upon the current experience value reached, plus the experience value of the previous level.
Presently, it looks more like so:
Lord type: [600 1800 3600 6000 9000 12600 16800 21600 27000 33000 39600 46800 54600 63000]
Champion Type: [500 1500 3000 5000 7500 10500 14000 18000 22500]
And between the Lord type experience progressing and the champion type, I would use a similar pattern for military units and creatures, by skipping every other number. I.e. [500 1600 4000 108000]
Any thoughts on this level progression idea?
