started modding again, recently adapted your info panel change into my own mod, hope that's ok. I changed the luck square to melee / missile resists, moved the level bar up and added magic resists (all 8) to the space in between the level bar and the artifact spots. yup, just posting out of boredom more or less...

I'd like to see a picture of what you have done. If you could, load up the game and press the print screen button, then open a image editor and do a paste. Save it to somewhere then you can upload it to this forum in a message.
I've thought about adding Missile/Melee resistance once. I would've used the "experience" icon thats normally used in artifacts.

Also changed the unit buying page to show all the unit's stats before you buy it. Another change: Got rid of the rate of fire square; replaced it with hp regen when still and when moved (both in same square). Changed the attack speed square to display the rate of attack icon instead if the unit in question is a missile unit. [By the way]: is your site down?

No, my site is not down.
I wanted to do the same thing with the Missile units displaying only Rate of Fire and melee units displaying only Rate of Attack. I haven't experimented with it until after you've mentioned it. I've figured it out, took me a few tries before it worked in the game.
By the way, I thought the game was limited to have only so many stat icons in the unit panel. At least, that is what I gathered from my experiences and testing of the game. And you also did all the stats for the building windows? Thats awesome. Perhaps you could teach me to do that.
I'd also like to see how you did the resistance in the unit info panel. I'm guessing you used the little faith icons?s

I'd like to post pics, but don't know how. How would I do it?

Hey, try to work in recover_hitpoints_inside, recover_hitpoints, and recover_hitpoints_moved all into the unit info panel. I have been trying and I cannot get it to work!
Give it a shot, and let me know if you get it working.
Also, I want you to know that with your info panel gs file, it still looks like my old one and the word "Lvl #" needs fixing.
For some reason, I cannot get anymore than 2 more stats into the window or else it will cause problems. Thats why I'm asking you to see if you can get all three recover types into the window.
By the way, I looked at some of the coding in your info panel and its very ingenius. However, I did the Rate of Attack/Rate of Fire thing quite differently. Mine was a bit different, but its relatively close.
I basically did them like that.

thanks. it is indeed based on an older version of your gs5 infopanel. I don't have internet access on the computer I mod on (i use public computers etc... for internet) so that was the only version I had to work with. I like your solution to the attack rate / rate of fire thing. Slightly more polished than mine.
what is this lvl # thing that needs fixing? ([By the way]: i know the spying info panel etc in my version is totally out of whack, i'll get around to fixing that eventually)
As to the problems you've been having, I think I know how to fix them. Are you experiencing broken unit panel stuff, like normal units having champion portraits, and boxes disappearing as a result of adding more code? there seems to be some sort of limit to the number of instructions you can place in a single strip of code. This is defined at the top of the page. If you do a search for the number 500 at the top of infopanel.gs and change the very first 500 you find to 1000, it should fix any problems of that nature you are experiencing.
Once you've done that, adding 3 edit boxes into a single info box should be easy.

The 500 thing is probably whats giving me the problems. I'll change that to 1000 and test the things. I plan on adding all 3 health recovery types in a diagonal manner from top left to bottom right. And like you, I may be tempted to throw out the Luck icon, but I will figure something out.
Also, I just finished doing something quite awesome. I've got the info panel to display the actual experience value right above the bar. Where it used to have a string called "experience" I changed to the actual value. It took me a while to figure it out, but I perservered.
I have to get ready for class, I'll resume any thoughts I have afterwards.

Here is how my info panel currently works. I probably would have never been able to get things working right, if you hadn't mentioned the userdict begin /unitinfo_dict 500 dict def end and changing the 500 to 1000. Progressively, I will be adding more. I am considering tossing the Luck Stat out and replacing it with the physical resistances like you did. And ofcourse, I will definitely want to put the magical resistances in, just like you did. Like I said before, the red (neg) and blue (positive) colors works pretty well. If you didn't know already, a list of different color numbers is found in "gs\num_font.gs". There is white, blue, green, yellow, and red. Here is the picture:

Nice, looks pretty good, well done. I think I'll do the same thing with my hp regen square, good initiative.

On another note, I am also considering moving the Combat Speed to appear under the Movement Points and changing the string in the textdict for the change. The numbers should look something like this:
20/20 5

I'm making a little more progress. I've just got the resistances added to the game's info panel, spy info panel, and the Lord editor's info panel. Now all I have to do is start adding the stats.

My final modification: I decided to go with white as the possitive resistances and red as the negative resistances. Also, I decided to place the icons in alphabetical order. You will also see that opposite faiths do not touch each other horizontally or vertically this way. Diagonally is a different story.
