I am working on Improving the nature of Dispell Magic so that its uses are extended beyond just spell buffs.
Q: What are the Improvements? A: Annihilating Summoned Creatures.
Dispell Magic will soon instantly kill units summoned directly into battle with a summoning spell. Creatures such as Wolves, Sprites, Spirit Warrior, Golem/Rock Troll, Unicorn, Demon and the Water Serpent.
The level of the caster dispelling the summoned creature must be greater than the level of the targeted creature. And when you dispell a creature, it drains an additional (target level - 2) mana from the caster.
So if you dispell a Level 8 Spirit Warrior, it will drain 6 additional mana. When including the mana cost of the Dispell Magic spell, you've spent a total of 8 mana to dispell the Level 8 Spirit Warrior.
Skeletons, Zombies and Shades are not included. Since they require a corpse, they're immune to this effect.
Killing a Summoned Creature by manner of dispelling will only work versus enemy Summons.
You can look forward to this in a future update.

Cool!
I assume you mean units that actually were recently summoned? Or do you mean summonable units?
In other words, I think a unit summoned at a mage tower in the overland view (with money) should be immune to this effect, but a unit that has just barely appeared in combat should disappear.
But that is really a cool idea, to dispell the whole unit summoned.

Only units summoned directly into combat with a spell.
