One thing I wish the creators would've added to Champions in LOMSE is the ability for Champions to have unique techniques and abilities. Much the way Fire and Air's legendary creatures have a command ability, usable once per turn.
Warriors Air: Lightning Blade. Shocks every unit within 3 tiles of the target for half calculated melee damage, but uses Air Resistance instead of melee resistance.
Chaos: Raging Chop. Inflicts a Critical and Deadly Strike.
Death: Golgotha Slash. Inflicts bleeding (degenerate 1 hp/6 sec, up to 10 hp lost).
Earth: Whirl Wind. Inflicts physical damage to all targets within 1 tile of the user. All damage calculated normally.
Fire: Flame Strike. Upon striking, the attack creates an explosion at the target. Causes a chain explosion to nearby units with diminishing damage. Explosion continues from target to target, until all units
Life: Blinding Strike. Reduces the sight radius of the target, and enemies within 1 tile radius of the target, to 1 (lasts 8 seconds), inflicts a Crushing Blow and Pierces physical resistance (not armor).
Order: Full Block. Lasts 8 seconds. Reduces all physical damage received to zero and deflects all missile attacks targeting the user. Projectiles deflected inflict damage to nearby enemies within a two tile radius.
Water: Silver Strike. Attack one target three times rapidly. Each successful strike results in a Deadly Strike.
Just wish the creators would've added more command options.

2 YEARS LATER Why don't you do it then? Or is it impossible? I think it would've been a fantastic idea. It's not practical to do so. We have the SPIT WEB and DRAGON BREATH commands for performing either a short range attack, or a long range attack.

Can't you use those options to make some sort of skill for each class?
Thief = short range: (depending on faith) Deadly Throw can be used once against any non champion and can only be used once per turn.
Mage = Long range: (depending on faith) Energy Blast(energy being whatever, i.e fire, water, etc.) affects all units in radius including your own.
Warrior = short range: Quake can be used once every seven turns when the warrior smites the ground with his weapon causing a stun effect on opposing units which lasts for 5 seconds.
Just some ideas to use the limited options to your own use. For starters, can you change the name and effect of the two commands?

Now that would be quite interesting. How difficult is it to swap out graphics for certain spells? Or individual components of spells? I know next to nothing about the code for this game, but supposing it's possible, that opens many doors...
