It had to have been in December 1997 with the original Lords of Magic. At the time, it was my brother's game and he wouldn't let me play it because he was afraid I would scratch his CD up. A few weeks later my dad copied the CD for me to use and to play the game with.

Started modding back in August of 2004 I believe and then started a second LOMSE website in September.

I bought LOMSE from walmart or biglots when i was in 5th grade. Me and my one friend matt play for hours. we played for weeks i remember. LOMSE is one of those games that are great even by today standards. The graphic may not be 3d but is the gameplay and story is what counts, and in this day and age devs are most concerned bout graphics than gameplay.

Unfortunate but true. You can thank Sony for this. Their marketing of their video games was 90% playing the cut scenes and maybe 9% actual game play.

I cant believe I found some people who still play this game! Hey I would like to play sometime on a multiplayer game with any of the members here? I have loved the 1 player version of this game for years, but thought the community dead (thus no multiplayer ). Is this possible, and where do I go to get one started?

The only way that I've been able to play multiplayer is with Kali. Register a trial serial key at www.kali.net for the product. It's free for a 30 day trial.

When I play LOMSE, I use the GS5R mod. The original game is too buggy with a lot of loopholes.

Hi, My name is alex, thats probably a stupid question, but i aint able to pop up the console while playing … tried ctrl + c or ctrl + \ but none works … do you know something that could help me, im playing LoM 2.02

According to in-game data for LOM202, ctrl \ is the proper keystroke to open cheat dialog.

I was introduced to LOM and games in general by my brother aswel, he brought a PC magazine, think it was PC zone and there was a Demo of LOM included, for years we just played the Demo untill one xmas someone brought me the original, I managed to persuade my sister to play a LAN game with me which only lasted afew minutes before we were disconected but she was hooked aswel.

The huge amount of bugs used to realy anoy me though, you've done a great job of balancing and fixing it, since getting the mod I've actualy played as other races and not just sticking to life all the time.

Are you talking about the cheat that increases the level of all other faiths, the scroll that provides a champion one whole level of experience, or the scroll that changes the faith of a champion?

idk what the name of the scroll is i forgot!!!! [Oh my God!] i had it one time n i clicked on x.

so i went on a rampage in the big map giganta and i found these scrolls

restoration - good for death
resistance - VERY GOOD FOR CHAOS LORD
power - [Oh my God!] so hax xD
faith - im scared to try it on my lord but i use it for the 'long lost imprisoned has been freed' champions n__n
strength - i use it on my chaos theives
health - good for all around!
- the political attitudes it changes it to good like neutral to empathy to trust to kinship to pact to devotion

[By the way] i found a bug/cheesy way to defeat a part of the game.
if someone blind rages u, CTRL CLICK the unit and USE THE PARRY. the unit will stop moving but its better then the mage killing it ^^

So up until 3 weeks ago I was playing the original(and very buggy) LOM:SE. I must say that the work you have done here is very impressive and has made the game even more fun to play(if it was possible ;D). Also i still have some nub question, one being how to enter these "cheats" you have made.

I learned as I went along in modding LOMSE. So in other words, I learned on the fly.
