This idea comes from another great fantasy strat game, Age of Wonders:Shadow Magic. The idea is that, beyond just stat increases, units who level up can also acquire special abilities. Now, for balance purposes it would probably be better to limit this to max-level units only, but think of the possibilities it opens up for making each unit unique and powerful in its own ways. Thoughts?

Thoughts? I would love to do this. Unfortunately, it's just not possible per se. Unless of course we're talking about on-attack or on-defend combat abilities. I'm sure you're talking about like how The Legendary Dragons have a cast breathe ability, or like Aracnids have spit web. Well, I can offer something like this to other units, however it gets complicated and they can't be gained specifically by reaching a certain level. You either have them or you don't, basically.

Well, maybe it would be feasible if the source code became opened up. Oh, well, it's nice to dream.
