Hi, i've just started playing the GS5-R2 mod, and its great so far, thanks to Mantera for working on the mod for so long.
Anyway, my question: Lets say I have a small force, 3 units of zombies, 3 units of skeletons. If I win a combat with no losses, will all the experience points go to the skeletons, or will half the experience points be wasted on the zombies (they are created with a level of 3 and don't gain experience).
Also, do units maxed out at level 5 waste experience points in this way?

Experience is divided equally among all units based on the after-combat barter value of the defeated army. Afterwards a Wisdom bonus to applied to each individual unit.
Creatures and units, but not champions, at max level are experience wastes.

Ah, ok. I'll try and play this mod as long as possible and give some feedback.
One thing I noticed, was this strange light-blue flag moving about on the map, but with no unit graphic underneath. I clicked underneath the flag with another unit and discovered it was an air thief using stealth.
I thought I was missing a graphic file, but my thief detected him and the graphic appeared, so thats ok. The flag gave away the thief's position on the campaign map, i'm guessing this might be a bug of some kind.

Detect Life (Death's Spell) will detect any faith but Death. So that's probably the more useful one. The other faiths spells are a little more limited. Chaos's Detect spell will detect one additional faith, at random, in addition to detecting Order.

Oh, I think I get it. I'm guessing the spell is automatically cast from all my units at the start of each turn? I'm seeing marauders (grey flag) parties in the fog of war and in the black unexplored terrain, I guess this detection spell picks up them also. Its just a bit bad for any enemy thieves who try to approach me using stealth, as it seems I will always be able to see them because of their revealed flag through this detection spell. Hopefully I won't annoy you with any more questions, at least for a while.

Certain artifacts will cast their respective faith's detection spell. Oh I see, I'm just being stupid now [Laugh out Loud]. Yeah, the Shadow Staff I started with does that. The Lich from Deaths Great Temple seems very over-priced, does it have any special abilities that aren't shown in its stats? And, er, what does the Altar of Sacrifice do? Its been a long while since I last played LOMSE.

Use Altar to sacrifice prisoners of war to expand mana capacity of a necromancer, warlock, lich or arch demon.

Or you can trade with other faiths, if you know they have knowledge of the spell. Otherwise you can research your own spells in the libraries. Remember, only an Order Wizard and research Order spells in an Order Library. The same applies for all other faiths (Death Wizard, researching Death spells in a Death library, and etc.).
