In my many many months of modding, I have added Combat Abilities for many creatures. Now I have decided to implement semi-complex additions for Champions and Military units.
Warriors: will be able to do "Deadly Strikes" which doubles their damage. Also triggers a sound. Only triggers if a successful hit is achieved.
Infantry and Cavalry: will be able to do "Crushing Blows" which reduce the target's current life by 1/4. The target must have more than a quarter of their life and will not trigger if the attacker does more damage than a quarter of their current life. So when a successful crushing blow has rolled, it will do no less than 1/4 of the unit's current life. A sound is triggered with the ability.
Thieves: will do "Critical Strikes." Thieves already do Critical Strikes. Critical Strikes will double the attack or ranged attack value of the Thief. A sound is triggered with the ability.
Missile Troops: will do "Piercing Attacks." Piercing Attacks will ignore half of the target's armor, or three-quarters of the target's armor if it is stealthed.
These are things I plan to add in the next update of the GS5. Things may change.

If a hit is successful and a successful deadly strike is rolled, the total damage output of the Warrior is doubled. So if he would have normally done 2 damage, Deadly strike increases the damage to 4.

If the target has 20 life: damage rolled was 3 and a crushing blow was successfully rolled, the attacker does 5 damage instead.
If the target has 20 life: damage rolled was 6 and a crushing blow was successfully rolled, then crushing blow is ineffective. The attacker will proceed with 6 damage. The crushing blow would have done 5 damage, but the unit did more than 5 damage.
Thieves: will do "Critical Strikes." Thieves already do Critical Strikes. Critical Strikes will double the attack or ranged attack value of the Thief. A sound is triggered with the ability.
A successful Critical Strike roll will turn 10 attack into 20 attack.

If the missile troop rolls a successful piercing attack and the defender has 20 armor, then defender will be treated as if it had 10 armor instead.
