If anyone is interested in playing LOMSE this Saturday around 3 or 4 ish Mountain Time please post in the thread below. Ideally we would start a game Saturday and then continue it regularly on thursday evenings.
It would be played on the classic urak map, using Boasters most recent mod GS5R2. The goal would be to playtest Boaster's mod to find possible balance issues and have a crapton of fun. The only way we are going to see balanced LOMSE is through many multiplayer games. If you'd like to join for saturday and/or the regular game on thursday nights please post your availability below as well as your top three choices for the factions you'd like to play as. We'll try to accomodate everyone.
Me: 1. DEATH 2. FIRE 3. LIFE

Additional information is that we would use Gameranger assuming that works and that I won't be able to check this forum until Saturday. 5 PM may be a better start time, as I'll need to set up a gameranger account etc.

Roggow IV.scn, Penara.scn, Corlis.scn, etc. They all come with the mod when you download the GS5R.mpq in the RAR archive. Why would it be more appropriate? All dungeons are pre-placed. This way dungeon setups are predictable, which will allow for the game to scale in difficulty. Obviously the difficulty of the encounters will increase as you become more experienced, thus offsetting each other in one sense. Also another thing is that, depending on which difficulty you play on (I play on Hard always) is there is a certain number of dungeons you must face in your region before you can obtain an artifact (as found in the readme for LOMSE). I am willing and would like to play. Account name: Boaster Account number: 522375 Also: 650346 I'll pick any faith or class, you can even select for me if you want.

I would like to play, however I am completely novive to GS5 anything. I am going to play it through a few times to see how it runs, the differences in gameplay and thus strategy etc. I'll follow along with you guys though and hopefully hop in in a week or two.

Can't toggle the mouse scrolling without the mod. Gamebreaking!

Alright I'm in, I have been playing GS5R2. It has some differences but is ideally the same. The opponent seems to go staright for my ranged attackers every time, but once expected I can modify my formations.
Boaster, thank you for the mouse scrolling improvement... Huge benefit both in battle and overland. <Nods>
Can the overland sprites; caves, Temples, dungeons and so forth be modified (improved) and reinserted into the games programming?

As we discussed before the LOMSE sprites, as found in IMP.mpq are all *.IMP files. There is presently no known ways to open, edit, render, or save these files.

Also, if those who would like to play would add their gameranger username to the post that'd be great. Thanks
