Hi there,
I recently downloaded the LOM:SE file, which I am very grateful indeed for. I unpacked it, installed it and tried to play it. However, the game asks me to insert the CD which, although I own the LOM original CD, I obviously do not own. I can't see that anyone else has had this problem; how do I get round it...?
Any help would be well appreciated.
Thanks!
Dan

Is the iso file just the 619,300KN Winrar archive entitled LOMSE.iso? So I just need to burn this to disc...?

A virtual CD/DVD reader that I recommend is Daemon Tools. - Install Daemon Tools. - Restart. - In the system tray (bottom right windows icons, in the task bar), right click Daemon Tools and set Device Number to one. - Right click the Daemon Tools icon again, and select mount image. - Locate LOMSE.iso and select it. Shortly, the auto-run will appear. Close that and go to the letter drive which LOMSE is loaded from, via Daemon Tools. Open that letter drive (fake CD ROM), and run the setup.exe.

Create a shortcut for LOMSE and put this in the target line. /cd=E:\E = your letter drive. Or You may need to just create a registry for LOMSE. I cannot guarantee that this one will work though. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sierra OnLine\Setup\LOMSE] "Directory"="E:\" "Full Name"="Lords of Magic: Special Edition" "CDPath"="" "Special"=dword:00000000 If all else fails, download the already cracked LOMSE file from the website. Perhaps someone else can confirm that registry being setup like that. I did a reload on my computer and I no longer have the registry setup. Try that and tell me your results.

I had some problems too for the crack no cd, I change the reg file into:
"CDPath"="000FE26E: 1A 90" "Directory"="" "Full Name"="Lords of Magic: Special Edition" "Special"="0x00000000 (O)"
I've found an old crack for LOM and try it, it is Ok with it.
