Generating a discussion based on thieves, so players and the sort can compare and determine which Thief best suites their style of play.
Elite Huntress Talk about guerrilla tactics. She's like a ninja with her artifacts. Elite Huntress is a wrecking crew.
10% chance to randomly teleport when attacked. 20% chance while at half or less health.
Unlisted bonus: +5 armor when Teleporting, double vs Order Creatures, double with half or less health.
A potential +20 armor vs Order Creatures with half health or less, while teleporting. Almost means she's guaranteed not to take damage from Order Creatures in physical combat while teleporting.
This Amulet makes her useful vs any opponent, even those stronger than her.
About 1 in 3 chakrams will shave 5 armor of an enemy target: this includes Leaders, Heirs, Lords and Special Champions. About 2 in 3 chakrams will do this versus Order Creatures.
25% chance to multi-strike becomes 30% just from the +5 Luck from the Amulet of Fate.

A whole army dead in less than 3 minutes :0 My sister always plays the huntress, can't remember which artificats she uses but the chakram is definitly very cool.
The elite huntress is one of the best LOM units in both looks and combat stats in my opinion.

The main selling point of the Huntress is basically her rate of fire. IIRC, her stealth is among the highest too. She levels fast (good for level-up bonus, although XP is the same) and has good HP.
I very rarely play a Huntress as a Lord (tried once or twice maybe, but I've never finished a game with one) but my favorite Lord in the game is the Chaos Shaman. Given that fact, my experience with non-Lord Huntresses is such that I always keep one around, despite their poor missile range. They make up for that lack by being good in both range and melee (and they can survive auto-calculate). There's also the fact that Chaos terrain is the most rugged terrain in the game - this, along with Chaos spells, rounds off her skills just fine.

A few quick bests:
Air Thief - Best Movement, Sight & Flying. Chaos Thief - Best Attack. Death Thief - Best Ranged Attack. Earth Thief - Avg Thief, no bests + No Terrain Penalty. Fire Thief - Best HP. Life Thief - Best Range & Health Recovery Order Thief - Avg Thief, no bests or worsts. Water Thief - Best Armor.

Air Thief - Best Movement, Sight & Flying. Worst HP, and pretty boned in melee. If you see a late game fire mage... well, fly away, ASAP! On the flipside, it has no terrain penalties due to flight (but no overland terrain bonuses either.) On the other hand, if you snipe away all flying and missile units, you can defeat any cave. Subdue any mages, and watch out for Infernos. A Level 7 Champion using inferno spells faerie death if you have no resistance (which you'll need double of to compensate weakness) Chaos Thief - Best Attack. Tied Worst range, beyond that, her problems tend to come from other chaos unpredictabilities which make or break. Death Thief - Best Ranged Attack. Also has worst range, but he hits harder. If he gets hit, he'll take a while (or many crystals) to recover health, whereas the Huntress will heal much faster, even on the move. Earth Thief - Avg Thief, no bests + No Terrain Penalty. [/qoute] Has one 'worst' and that's speed. Also, Air Magic does lots of damage. Has low attack, but decent Earthen defenses. Note that their range is 2nd best. Fire Thief - Best HP. [/qoute] Decently well rounded. Has good melee, average range and range attack and strong armor. He's slow though, and water magic will ruin him, but fire artifacts are nifty. Note that nonlord Punishers have the same melee Attack as non-lord Huntresses (and Rangers as well.) If you use your mage's Frenzy spell, you can get a lot of bonuses. He's also a decent mage hunter if you regularly bring him to the Eternal Forge (which you should do anyway.) Early on, you'll find that these little guys are the ones you may want at the forefront using Parry as your Rockhurlers and warriors dish out their power. Life Thief - Best Range & Health Recovery Has low armor and durability. If it's caught, it'll die fast and it can't fly to safety. On the other hand, it's still mobile and a mage will heal it up fast enough. Order Thief - Avg Thief, no bests or worsts. Chaos damage can potentially destroy it. Note that the Order thief has stats very comparable to the Fire Thief, though the fire thief is better for melee than the Order is to range (and I think order is a bit faster.) if you get a Silver Dagger, you take best advantage of the Spell it can cast. Water Thief - Best Armor. Heals very poorly on the move without magical or potion support. She also just kinda causes stalemates if cornered. She won't die, but she wont kill either with her lowish melee. On the other hand, she wrecks with Bloodlust and Quicksilver under her belt.

Yes, Order Thief is faster than the Fire Thief.
Life Thief moves the fastest, even though the Air Thief has the same combat speed. Air Thief graphics are delayed in some respects.
Fastest Attack goes to Death. Even though Chaos and Water have the same attack rate at the same level, the Assassin's animation has no delay. Chaos thief has a stretched "pull back" motion, which makes the firing rate slightly slower. Same goes for Water, but it's not quite a "pull back" motion, rather a "loading ammunition" motion.
When I was speaking about Chaos Thieves having the best Attack, I was referring to the Lord class to the Champion. But when comparing the Huntress to the Order or Fire Thief, in terms of attack, Huntress still has better attack on account of her rate of attack.
When the Death Thief takes damage, his only solace would be the Life Stealing Blade or a Potion of Health. But a Potion of Strength +6 would make him "Deadly" (as it will provide the ability to perform Deadly Strikes). A Potion of Strength +6 will replenish 12 health instantly and will allow the Thief to go over it's maximum health.

You also need to consider how slow Death's projectile travels. That's my main problem with him, since he very rarely gets in the line of fire to require healing anyway. (Unless you auto-calculate)

very very very good.
she is my favorite and the best!
ok time to take alook at the others...
earth - no terrain penalty make him VERY DEADLY. he has good rate of fire, missile range and missile attack! only problem is he is just too slow to walk -.- i hate earths slowness.…
air - can fly that is about it. i would not use this thief
life - very fast. u click on her when choosing as a thief it is clear she is the fastest and longest range!
death - MY WORST ENEMY! i always kill all murderers/assassin... they move like life thieves and got a nasty attack
fire - like earth thieves with movement penalty. i think they stronger in terms of stats overall but ya... they actually pretty good ^^
order - uhhh, idk they look weird. its like what mantera said they are the averagest thief.
water - idk im not sure about water thieves... i think they have slow rate of fire and they also move slow. idk i dont wanna say they suck... xD
