I've found a small bug with this (well, I guess its small since its easy to fix) -- Sometimes when starting the game you get no video and when you load it up your saved games/custom maps are gone. This can be fixed by reapplying your patch to the game, its just a little annoying.

Hi magnus,
What do you mean by 're-applying the patch to the game'? Do you mean you uninstall and re-install the mod?
Also, does 'no video' mean that none of the movies play when you start the game? Next time you get this problem, start a new game (or load one), then when it is your turn, open up the console by pressing the ~ (tilde) key. Then, if there is any text in the 'Script Window', take a screenshot with PrintScreen, and see if you can post the screenshot here.

Interesting problem; By re-applying I mean I open up the zip with files in and just reextract them into the folder, when I load up again there is no problems. This usually happens about 50/50 whenever I load the game up. When you load it up you get no videos playing (The introduction videos). I cannot load a saved game (theres nothing in the list) and when I try to start a new game I get this. So, I can't see what is happening really. EDIT: I also loose access to the Legends of Urak option. I will note something, I did not apply the 3.01 patch -- Because I could not find it (I did make a post about it here!) I was told it should work anyway, so I applied it.. This may be why it is happening.

Yes, apparently this file was infected with the Win95/CIH Virus back in 1999 and then cleaned (Antivir reports "Win95/CIH inactive)" - many virus programs only disinfected but not "purged" back then. Also, that old virus doesn't even work on Windows XP (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIH_virus). Regards, Tom

Well, whatever small changes to the lomse.exe seems to be important for this mod to function correctly. I've made the 3.01 patch available here.

I found a weird bug with this... if you slow down the scroll setting of the map, then scroll left or right, the objects don't scroll at the same speed as the terrain. So if you go all the way around, the buildings and stuff won't match the terrain.
This seems to be cosmetic, because the game still treats combat as if though it was on the "real" terrain.

Yeah, there are quite a few drawing errors generated sometimes. Can you tell me what exact scroll option you changed and what number you changed it to? Also, what zoom mode are you using when you try to scroll left/right and get the objects shifting positions on the terrain?

Wow. I didn't know there's a new patch for this game. You guys should post this new patch at Sierra's LOM:SE forum -- most LOM players go there.

For your next patch, is it possible for you to include a function for players to change the leader's/champion's portraits?
Some of the portraits are really ugly, and I often find myself reloading the game many times just to get the portraits I like.

There's an issue in the Game Menu: when I clicked on the Main Menu button by accident, the game just went straight to the Main Menu -- without asking me for confirmation!

I mostly have nothing to do with Acension's Unofficial 3.02 mod, but this is not a patch in the general sense and it's not officially supported by the original creators, much like my own mod.
Please refrain from multiple postings. More than a double post is completely unnecessary 99% of the time.

ManTerA has it correct with the unofficial idea of the patch and the multiple posting. You can advertise the mod over at the LoM:SE forums, but you have to make sure that you mention that it is 'unofficial'. There's an issue in the Game Menu: when I clicked on the Main Menu button by accident, the game just went straight to the Main Menu -- without asking me for confirmation! Doesn't it normally do this? There has never been a confirmation for what is originally the "New Game" button. I'll keep it in mind. Not sure if it is possible but will have a look for you.

Should be fairly simple to do this by cloning the quitdlg dialog and simply changing the dimensions, and the editboxes for 'yes' and 'no' into buttons.

Another problem: new followers arrive every week. There's a pop-up message that informs me about the arrival of new followers, but the message is missing in your patch. Now it's just a blank panel that pops up.

That's what I was thinking, but I couldn't remember what to use for that... which is the quitdlg.

I do get new followers every week, and (I think) the correct numbers too. What's missing is the message that's supposed to inform me that new followers have arrived. Well, the message panel pops up, but it's blank.
