I have a suggestion. Maybe we could add a new unit class. A class that could traverse both land and water. Air have a few units already like this ,but I think we should have all faiths have something like this.

I would suggest that this unit would be infantry. It would have less movement point than most other unit. It would also have good defense and offense than most. Maybe limited spell capabilities? Just a suggestion.…

Unfortunately there is not a practical way to add new unit classes to LOMSE. Until LOMSE becomes truely open source, we won't be able to add any new unit types or classes.

Well I don't realy think its needed, nearly every race has some form of flying unit that can transerve water already, if we're going to add a new type of unit it should be a support unit in my opinion.
For example I'd like to see Life having healers to support its army, and order having some spearmen to act as anti-calvalry. That would add alot more tactics to gameplay, we can't add any units as mantera says but we can dream.

I think its a bad idea.. Personally My favourite faith is worships earth, and if I recall they have no form of water or air units apart from boats. I guess taking away another faiths strengths and applying it to everyone is reducing anothers advantages, if you want land/water units I guess your gonna have to trade. ;D

ManTerA said that there is not a practical way to add new unit classes to LOMSE... but it is possible to replace some of the existing ones? I'm talking about some units like heavy cavalry that are in common in Order and Water units. It could be a good idea to replace the water cavalry with something original, i.e. a group of three amazons riding giant lizards (the model is the Dark Warrior). And maybe replace the Dark Warrior with a Death Paladin.

It's just a matter of figuring out how to open, edit and save IMP (stands for IMPressions, like the company) sprites. What would've been better is if Centaurs were Water units instead of Order units, then they'd make better "Cavalry" units (even though I treat them more like an Infantry-Cavalry hybrid in my mod).

Well... the IMP matter, it could be of some help to open a contest about that, you could offer something to the one able to hack that kind of file, something unique like an artifact from instructables.com

Like a contest where I'll create an artifact for the winner?

Perfect, you see my point even if my English is poor... it is too easy for you to create new artifact by modding LOMSE, for a big contest like the IMP one there is the need of a real, hardware artifact for the winner! hackers are gentlemen, they don't need money!

I'm sure you have some junks in your room, something you don't really care about. Use your fantasy and mix junks togheter, i.e. you can make an usb fm tuner stored in the box of an old broken 56k modem. Something unique for the winner.
