Ok, I've been playing this game off and on for a few years and here are some things that have bothered me and I keep wondering if there's a way to avoid them from happenning.
When I approach 200 turns, and just about every other faith is eliminated besides myself and DEATH, HORDES of Marauding Parties start spawning and destroying everything I've worked hard to achieve. They destroy barracks, towers, guilds...etc...etc. Is this just something that happens to encourage you to finish the game, or can it be avoided by something other than keeping stong armies near every stronghold?
When I conquer another group's stronghold, sometimes when I upgrade Capital and Mage Tower to 3, I am unable to summon legendary creatures. It will tell me I am lacking resouces, even when I have enough GOLD, ALE, CRYSTALS and FOLLOWERS. I'm guessing this may be because the "Sacred Places" have been destroyed. But if this is the case, why can't I rebuild them? If you can rebuild Barracks, towers, and guilds that have been destroyed, why not the Sacred Places?
Thanks in Advance.

What is a Sacred Palace? Let's start there.

What is a Sacred Palace? Let's start there. I meant Sacred Building. I forgot you can repair them after they've been destroyed. After playing further, I noticed that sometimes I just have to wait a few turns after building one and Upgrading Temple to Level 3 before I can summon Legendary Creature. That must just be the way the game is.

So by Sacred Palace, you mean Special Building.
How do you upgrade Great Temples? I've only known them to be 1 level and indestructable.

I'm also coming to the conclusion that The Maurading Parties are connected to the dungeons that remain uncleared. Just finished the game again. Seems I learn more every time I play.

Marauders will continue to spawn, more and more parties, stronger and stronger as time passes on. They spawn from unconquered dungeons.

Keep a level 1 scout in every stronghold you own.
When a marauding party enters a barracks, mage tower, or thieves guild in that city, click on the scout and move it out 1 space then back in. Entering the city kicks any marauding parties out of the ancillary buildings. Marauding parties must be IN the buildings at the start of the turn to destroy them, so it just kicks them out every turn until your heroes can get around to freeing them.

Also worth mentioning is that if an enemy has liberated their great temple in unmodified LOMSE, or starts the game with a liberated great temple, you will not be able to summon a legendary creature because the "one per game" rule is not "one per lord per game" so they took the only summon that can be used in the game.
Other than that, yes it's mage tower to level 3, special building, legendary creature... though the tooltips and error messages rarely reflect this.
Some maps are bugged too, you can have all four adjacent strongholds to level 3 and not be able to increase a watchtower in the center of them to level 2 because "You must upgrade your city to level 2". In such cases, nothing you can do short of modding the game.
