is it just me or is it very hard to make use of this building? First you have to be sucessful in actually subdueing and enemy champion then you have to be sucessful in dragging him to the alter without him escaping. Now i havnt had time to play test death in a normal game so i dunno how feasible this is but at the same time with the revisions made to the game isnt even harder than it was before to capture and keep a prisioner?

Eh, (using the GS5 mod) when I played Death I had no problem with capturing enemy champions, dragging them back and sacrificing them on the altar. In fact it was probably too easy. Just use a few mid-level assassins, patrol your borders and pick up any enemy thieves hanging around. Well that's how I did it anyway.

Furthermore, if you don't wanna prisoner escaping, you can always knock him out. He still will be able to be sacrificed.

I've always found the altar of sacrifice to be a great deal of fun in the single player game. Once you get a mid level assassin you just start grabbing enemy champions. The computer insists on wandering lonely champions on to my lands for some reason. They either send theives alone or with some ranged units which are easily picked off by a warrior champion, then I just catch their thief. The bonus mana is nothing to scoff at, the only thing that limits a mage is their mana, and being able to cast a bonus spell, or several spells if you sacrifice a group of champions is pretty powerful. In all it seems to be about the same level of power as the other buildings, the fact that it is hard to do is balanced by the fact that a necromancer can benefit from it more than once. In a serious multiplayer game though, I doubt it will see much play. This seems to be balanced by other stuff that death gets to do in multiplayer.

Very interesting all thanks so much for the input. As you may all ready know i just don't have the time to play through start to finish every faith to test and look at every single faith. (Who does anyway) You make a good point that in multiplayer this may be a bit harder for death to take advantage of although i know of no chance that i see would be able to make this a little better.
Perhaps the subdue with help command would be necessary to get the job done. Great feedback thankyou.
