After a brief glance at the water spell book it looks like more than one spell is designed to raise armor and resistances for a member of your party. Can anyone better clarify how these spells are actually different?
I'll take a better look another time to give it more fair a shake.

1. light rain. decrpiption a bit cinfusing. all it does for an enemy is lower resistances unlees that enemy is a fire unit? or does it reduce combat speed for all units. And combat speed is movement right? If so might want to change the wording to movement speed to make it easier to understand 2. Quick silver. all this does if cast on an enemy is reduce their water resist right? And if thats the only thing it does is it really a spell to use on an enemy when it can be used on an ally? 3. Guardian waves. Melee resistance is what exactly? as opposed to getting a plus to attack. Please also see the attachments for the last 2. How are they different? Attachments:

oh i see how 1 does 0 to 2 damage to melee attackers is that each time they attack? Hmm 3 mana vs 8 mana. Not sure if id pay such a high cost for 0 to 2 thorns damage but id have to take a closer look.
