Is there any point to being allowed to start out with the capital but not the temple? What good is starting out with the capital without having followers?
Furthermore, when you finally free the temple you don't get any companions.
If a feature has no benefits for its use then would it be better just to remove it? And if it does what is it?

Actually I think this is a bug. When you free your Great Temple and the game has it set so you start with a capital it doesn't give you the two captives. (We tested this on Medium).

are you going to tell us what the point of using this feature is? Is there any advantage? Why have an option that doesn't benefit the player?

I remember that in the original LoM you don't get to do much with the city until you liberate your temple. You're not the true Lord of your faith until you proof yourself to your people of the faith thru rescuing the temple of your faith.
