Hi all! Still here, just lurking.
There seems to be no easy way to find out who owns the IP and sequel rights to the Lords of Magic Game. My first thought was that the sequel rights belonged to Tilted Mill. After all LOM was an impressions game and tilted mill retained sequel rights to both Caesar and Pharaoh lines of gaming which were also impressions titles.
But with how often these things change hands, it's foreseeable that Activision may have retained control or sold it off to any number of companies.
Does anyone know how to check on something like that? Is that information in any way a matter of public record?
Just starting up some conversation, I have a dream like many of you of retiring from the medical field and being a game developer and I'd love to have some games set in the LOM universe.

Last I heard is that IP of LOM and other games were bought by a company in [Eastern] Europe.

Quite a shame we don't know which one, I came up with a tabletop version of LOM with some extended backgrounds of the eight faiths, it's no where near balanced yet but it's just friends and family playing so they don't abuse it too much. Hehe.
