Since SNV's utility came on the scene, I have learned to use it a little bit and have created some animated gifs on the website.
I have taken the sprite animations from a few different Lords and have combined them into animations.
Presently the following have been animated:
Amazon Princess
Warlock
Dwarven Warlord
Grand Ranger
The units that have mounts (such as the Amazon Princess) are really quite hard to line up, especially considering several different sprite combinations.
The Warlock animation looks like it's a little off, but that's about as good as I could get it to actual in-game appearance.
I would say that the Grand Ranger, up to this point, is the coolest one I have worked on since I had to be creative in editing one of the frames for a cool show.
Check it out! Also, respond here if perhaps you have one that you would like to see be done and perhaps what sort of animations sequence you might like.
