Hello
Cancelled my Paypal account year ago ( as a protest against their AUP "mistake" )
In case there is no other payment method, may be possible to meet donation requirement for the manual by sending a gift from GOG or Steam store ?.
If so, do you have a wishlist there ?
Regards

If so, do you have a wishlist there ? Regards I have no steam or GOG affiliation. But, I can provide Crypto as an alternative: a Lite Coin or Doge Coin address that will work more effectively than Paypal will. I may offer these two as exclusive options, since Paypal likes to inject themselves into the business of others (as well as inviting outside sources).

While I am on your side regarding PP, and found in your reply a good excuse to get myself into crypto, later concluded I would prefer to avoid the ups and downs of setting a wallet, opening an account on crypto exchange and funding it, so asked a friend to make for me an US$ 10.75 donation tomorrow. Just let me know if you will need further information about to where to send the manual once donation is verified. Regards

Well, as of right now, I've got a Dogecoin node. And if you're really getting into Crypto for the first time, Lite Coin and Doge Coin would be the ones to start with. dogecoin: DCQVFJKJScURk35smjy5r7agkqHeJmTwAL?label=MANTERA&message=Donations. That's the Dogecoin address to send Dogecoin to. The bold text is strictly the address to send to, whereas the other parts are informational (and may even be recognized by some apps/wallets). Getting a node going, which will take some storage space to do, you'll be directly on the network and not going through any third party wallets. Wallets are handy to have, but just like in real life, wallets can be stolen if not careful. Being directly on a network, like with Doge and Lite Coin, you're effectively operating at the same level as being a member of a bank, only privately yet also decentralized. Dogecoin is good to use because there's minimal transaction fees. This is the official website: dogecoin.com/The latest download/executable for starting a node: github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releasesAs a node, you're not a miner, but you're on the blockchain: which means, you're participating in keeping/verifying transaction records (in the background). I can provide a lite coin address also, but maybe Doge will be fine?

Thanks for expanding on the crypto subject.
By your explanation I understand that 1- Installing the node saves me the need for a wallet 2- I can send you doge coins through the node, once installed
But here is my noob question: -How do I get the doges I need for donation without opening account on crypto exchange ? Edit: I mean, I know miners get coins by means of computational power applied to mining stuff. But what about nodes ?
Regards

Either directly by yourself, or, someone you know that you can give cash/money to who can then send the crypto on your behalf. There are some ATM-like machines out there that can do the same thing, though they're few and far between.

Yet, it was far easier for me to ask my friend for the donation than providing me with doges Just sent an USD 13.75 donation through my friend's account. ---- On the crypto side, opened an exchange account Will try some day, once I figure out how add funds to it. ---- Thanks !

No problem at all. And I know you've been posting your work in here as well to help with getting sprites edited and colorized: that's invaluable! I would have been willing to provide this GSM to you for that reason alone. Either which way, glad to have you here; and thanks for the donation. I haven't dabbled with the program you have provided here as of yet... though, idk how it will work for me... I'm still running XP 64-bit. Once I get the itch again, and family life comes to a somewhat quiet spot, I'll be delving back into LOMSE at some point. And, it seems like in my down time, others are putting in some time to provide fantastic new tools to inject more and more life back into this fun old-timey game.

Your former work on LOM provided a lot of incentive to start work in the python tool As for window XP, you have endured where I just did fall [Laugh out Loud], did try to stick to XP as long as I could too, but eventually switched to Windows 7 I have to admit though that W-7 has been pretty decent to both me and my old games, and now I am struggling to defend the W-7 gates against everywhere pressure ( from chrome to steam store, to etc) ---- To my knowledge python 2.7.9 and earlier shall run OK on windows XP : stackoverflow.com/questions/47516712/what-versions-of-python-will-work-in-windows-xpwww.python.org/downloads/windows/ The python tool was coded and tested in python 2.7.18, a later version, but I expect it behavior the same in versions as old as 2.6.5 (will verify this for 2.7.9 as soon as I can ). ---- This is a beautiful hobby, yet, it is wise to properly set priorities for the use of spare time. Hence coming back to LOMSE modding only when you see it fits is entirely OK. Regards
