Hey, old soul and die hard LOMSE fan. Love the mod, aside from the colorized text for each faith (artifacts, buildings) - it is cool, but it would be better if it was on the old plain stone background for better readability.
Anyhow, I seem to be missing, the voice introductions that play when you select the Legends of Urak Quests. It is a minor thing, but it added to the atmosphere, and I was just wondering if there are any files to download somewhere to get those voices back.
This is not your mod alone, the voices are also missing in my original (patch 3.02) (unofficial) version.
One other thing - I know Great Temples are important, but could notification messages be used for other buildings - Like - The Lord of Fire has taken the Air Capital.
If it is not possible, fine. Just curious.
This mod is amazing, it has breathed new life into LOMSE. Cannot wait for GS6,

Mod's gs.mpq file holds some scrap pieces of code referring to the files you speak about. I always wondered where are these files, just like you. However, they are just not present in our sndfx.mpq files which are unchanged by Mantera and just depend on the original game version.
The directory in sndfx.mpq is supposed to be named wav/lou_scenarios/. However, no such directory is present, as well as the files described in this array from pikfaith.gs (a component of gs.mpq, which is the main game script file):
/LOU_SPEECH_DESC_ARRAY [ "" "wav/lou_scenarios/death_desc.wav" "wav/lou_scenarios/order_desc.wav" "" "wav/lou_scenarios/fire_desc.wav" "" "wav/lou_scenarios/earth_desc.wav" "" "wav/lou_scenarios/german_desc.wav" ]def
So, if these files ever existed, we should try to find unusual LOMSE repacks. My Russian pirate localisation version from 2002 and my current torrent version does not contain the files.

I was planning to integrate a whole intro video in my upcoming Life Quest instead of intro sound, but I do not know for certain if I will be able to do that without ripping half of the game. Time will show.

Hey, sorry for the necroposting, but I accidentally found the things you were looking for. Maybe someone will be interested in it too. The files you want are placed on the LOMSE CD. You just needed to copy the "Wav" folder from the CD to your game directory.
If you have an ISO image, it is also likely to have this folder in the root directory of a virtual drive.
This folder has a subfolder named "lou_scenarios", along with already known "Music" subfolder and two WAV files: Menu_Music and Valkyries. For some reason, the lou_scenarios subfolder does not appear in the -root-/Wav directory of the installed game, so you should copy the Wav folder manually.
It was very cool to find, because I personally played the Legends for 12 years WITHOUT any narration sounds or cutscenes. So much new impressions.
