My friend and I are now on Kali but have not been able to successfully launch a multiplayer game. I have an Intel processor and she has an AMD. I host the game and we see each other in our LOMSE lobby but when I launch the game mine starts immediately but hers doesn't. She sees only a loading message and then nothing.
Any insight would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

Kali is a bit more of a challenge to get working. You'll need to fill out your NAT IP in options, and things like that in Kali.

Okay, thanks a lot. I understand, I think. We both have 64-bit OS, so that's no problem. We were wondering about the NAT IP options, but hadn't delved into that in detail. It is very helpful to know this difference in Kali and GameRanger. We will try both, if need be. Thanks for your help!
