when working, on the spiritual sequel, i was adding the iso tile art for the battlegrounds for life faith. now check the screenshot for the same in the game that can't be done without using the tile art as texture for a quad in 3d and the camera set to view at angles to get isometric view maybe (orthographic perspective) what u guys think

LOMSE engine of course is a 3D one, but in general it is implemented very poorly and buggy. When you have x,y and elevation (z) it is not a surprise.

Whatever existing materials you can use makes the end result much simpler to reach.
Take the direction you sense most beneficial.

after playing LOMSE for years i feel silly in not realizing the game was a 3d game more like 2.5D ..i guess the best place to recognize this was the map editor but i didn't use thst a lot ..
i've decide to use the tiles as textures on a quad and capture the render using Blender..
i want to keep it as a true 2d iso game.
thanx all for feedback

If so, forget about the elevation. Heroes of Might and Magic IV is your kind of thing - it's pure 2D iso with the same 3d-rendered assets for every sprite. LOM-LOMSE elevation is applicated in a peculiar way. If the hill is not enough round (you can achieve sheer edges via hex-editing, thanks to Myrddin's experience), the tile neatness will be broken. This is the example of a new ship encounter for my Life Quest. As you can see, hex-editing reveal the true 3D nature of LOMSE engine, but when you try to make something more specific than squat hills, things can go bad easily. Actually, LOM engine cannot be called pure 3D. You cannot create the fully perpendicular walls even via hex-editing - there still will be angles. They can go to 89 degrees or even less, but you will never achieve a fully straight wall there.
