I recently purchased the GOG version of LOMSE, which I guess uses a 3. something patch? I've used the mods before, but I don't remember where I got the game from. Is there a way to set which patch I use? Also, is there any tips for using LOMSE with Windows 8.1? I'm sure there's going to be some headaches, I havn't found any yet, but I know they're there.

The GOG version of the game is not a retail version. I don't know what modifications they have made to it.

Alright, I was playing with the gs5 mod last night. It was pretty stable. I think I played a game for 5 hours before it crashed on me. It was past my bed time anyway so no biggy. Who gets to play video games for 5 hours straight? I think it's pretty stable.

You'll have to restart probably once every 50 turns, maybe fewer.

I recently picked up the GOG version and one very minor, but personally very irksome issue I noticed is that the speech of your strongholds and adjacent buildings never changes. Previously, when demolished or fully upgraded, they would change accordingly but no longer do. Other than that though I haven't noticed anything wrong with it, except maybe slow/passive AI (unless it was always like that).
