First of all, if you're a Vista user, you are on your own. Secondly, if you are computer illiterate you are also on your own.
LOMSE & SFX
If you notice that your computer is over working itself by playing every single SFX for spells individually, you might need to reduce your Sound Card's Hardware settings down to Basic Emulation (the second tick from the left).
When spells play their impact SFX, you're only supposed to hear one amplified SFX playing rather than the computer trying to play the SFX up to 12 different times really fast.
Hardware acceleration for your Sound Card can be found by taking the following steps (for XP users).
> Control Panel
> "Sounds and Audio Devices"
> Select the "Audio Tab
> Under Sound Playback, click the "Advanced" button
> In Advanced Audio Properties, select the Performance Tab
> Reduce Hardware Acceleration on Audio Playback to the second tick marker, from the Left.
LOMSE & Graphics
Doesn't take much to recognize that LOMSE has low end and simple graphics. Back in the day, it took a 166 MHz computer a long time to load a game anyways.
For the best results on your video card, adjust all settings to "Application Controlled." This varries greatly between video cards. If there is an option to lower quality, reduce to the second lowest setting or adjust as necessary.
For some, a reduction in SFX and Video Hardware acceleration may not be enough. It all may boil down to the processing speeds of either your CPU or your Bus Speed on your motherboard.
These are just a few suggestions to help make gameplay easier on High End Systems. If you have tried doing these things and nothing has worked for you, then I'm sorry. One of the best alternatives to finding a solution to your problem is to generate good ideas and experimenting with them.
