It always annoyed me how useless water is. They have all these water abilities, but waterways are rarely used in game on the standard map. I was thinking since they have a make land spell how hard would it be for a make water spell. Does the opposite. Of course there would have to be stipulations to prevent abuse like you can't cast it under a character. I'd probably say it'd have to have a set distance from any buildings or units. That'd make it so water nation can set itself up with defense and the serpents and kraken could actually be of use.

With gs5, the terraforming spell of water turns a land target into water or a water target to land. One can build a river at a cost of 4 mana per tile, which i feel is quite fast.

Correct. The Make Land Spell will make 1 land tile water, or will make ~9 water tiles land.
All of the other terraform spells should not effect roads, water, or impassable terrain.
So this puts "Make Land" very unique.

Oh nice. I think that's awesome. I wasn't aware of that It is in the spell tooltip description, but I don't know if it's clear or recall if it's in the spell book description. Order's Restore Land spell I think is the only spell that will turn water or impassable terrain to Plains, whereas others cannot. Make Land will do land or water, but not impassable.

Interesting. Does anything change roads? I tried with order but to no avail I made roads non-changeable by terraform spells. Nothing changes roads.

The reason roads were left unchangeable is that if someone were to come through and blast your region into unfriendly terrain, then at least in the mean time you could have roads to travel by until you could undo what has been done to your region.
