This is with the 3.02 unofficial patch but i suspect this bug is present in the original game as well. After turning a necromancer into a lich, equipping a shadow staff causes the armor and several other stats to get nerfed as per the screenshot. Anyone happen to know a workaround or fix for this bug? Edit : Just noticed another bug, the ring of concentration doesnt give +3 luck as the description says either...nor does it increase MP by 4 for death thieves at least.

The bug is, the transformation is not updating stats.
Equipping and unequipping just about any stat modifying artifact fixes this.

But when i equip/unequip any stat modifying artifact after the transformation, the lich bonuses are lost as in the screenshot?

You are using a patch/mod I have no control over. I do not facilitate the 3.02 unofficial patch.
Perhaps try the GSZ mod.

There's links on the message board and the website that will take you to the GSZ.
The GSZ mod does not modify unit stats, spells or artifacts except to fix issues (i.e. spells like "Hover" which had a duration so short the spell effectively does no good).
The GSZ mod does however modify the other parts of the game, which can nominally effect gameplay.
To modify stats, you can do so by 'gs/levlmods.gs' or individual unit data in the 'units/' folder inside the gs.mpq archive.
