I've been making some maps recently, which I should share with you guys at some point, but first I investigated the disappearing sprites bug of the map editor. For those who do not know it, when you place around 110 or 120 sprite types, things start to become invisible in the editor and making maps becomes a nightmare. It's even more of a nightmare when you want to work with a map you made long ago, stuffed with invisible dungeons.
Now here's A QUICK FIX!
Whenever the amount of different sprite types is lower than around 110-120, the bug is gone. Remember, the amount of sprite types is important, not the amount of total sprites. You can put 1000 trees if you like. So how do we spare sprite types? Some simple ways:
-Do not use different sprites for different villages but use only one: since villages get randomized when the game begins anyway, using the same village sprite will spare you up to 7 sprite types. -Do not use too many sprites with minimal aesthetic differences. Do you really need 5 different cave or gold mine styles to make the map look great? Do you really need to have a special thieves guild to make that elven encounter look exotic?
By using this method you can place around 90-95% of the sprites you want. Just be careful not to overdo it and enjoy making maps!

Very helpful tips!
I've never been able to solve this, but this is definitely helpful.

Another fix I found was to save map and reload it. The invisible sprites will become visible and you should be able to add more before they start becoming invisible again(needing save/reload).

Another fix I found was to save map and reload it. The invisible sprites will become visible and you should be able to add more before they start becoming invisible again(needing save/reload). Well I've just run some tests and it sometimes work but not every time. It think it is linked with an order of priority in the sprites. In a given session of map editing, the latest sprite type that you use is at risk of being invisible. If you save and load, the sprites earlier in the list will be visible again but chances are buildings like the Lich Castle or special sprites (if you use them) are now invisible. I think your trick is useful but you have to be aware that the problem might just have been displaced.

Hi, I have tested Lomse on Android with ExaGear Strategies and it works well but if I enter dungeons I can't see anything, all troops are gone, as it can't load sprites, and if I go out with autocalculate I don't have back the troops, all gone, I can only play by autocalculating battles, any solution?

Could be a missing folder in directory.

I copied the installed folder (Sierra/Lomse on PC), included mod GS5R3 with PIC5R3 (all steps done), into ExaGear folder on android, all works on PC but on android can't play battles because nothing is there
