Heyo homies, been hitting up the old LOMSE lately, looking at some of the quests with an eye to add extra features to some of them and get familiar with quest editing, possibly to make my own... I was playing the earth quest on a fresh install (unmodded), and near the end where you get ready to fight the orc chieftain, I was swarmed by crazy, seemingly infinite spawns of the orc/goblin/troll combo. Like, I would kill 5 or 6 full armies per turn, and within a couple turns would be swarmed by a similar number, again and again. Granted, it was fairly late in the game (turn 150+) and many of the armies may have been holdovers that were generated during the many earlier turns, but I just don't recall the sheer volume of bad guys in my initial playthough a long while back. Regardless, this epic orc invasion on overdrive was very challenging and quite in line with the quest's storyline. Maybe the unique quest dungeons generate baddies at an accelerated rate? Interesting anyway, and I'm wondering if any of you had the same thing happen on your earth quest. On a side note, if any of you are interested in playing edited quests, let me know about things you'd like to see added to the earth quest. la la.bmp (900.05 KB)

Exact same thing happened to me on this quest. I played it three or four times throughout the years and I think it indeed depends on the amount of elapsed turns.

Same 'fun', yet of much smaller scale, happens with the Dragon Lair to the north of the discussed area, which is actually accessible only for an army of Pegasi. Possibly that was forgotten during the development process, because the lair spawns default marauding parties who are not going anywhere and do not have any special text information behind them.

I have never gotten very far on the legendary earth quest. I'm not the best LOM player, but I love the game just the same! The Arthurian quest could use a polish especially with the olde English at times.
