LoMSE Unofficial 3.02 Patch new options resetting after exit

New here ,I recently starting playing LoM:SE again I got the Unofficial 3.02 Patch working fine but ever time I quit the game and comeback later the options I changed reset to  the default settings why ? I did try to fix this by going into the setting.ini file in notepad and adding all the options I changed back in that way ,but that did not work. I am running Win 10 I installed it to my Win 10 System via a VMwear Win 98 virtual machine I copied and pasted the files from the  Win 98 system back to the Win 10 system I did not go thought the setup installer in Win 10 it would not run I did that in Win 98 But the game would not run in Win 98 so I took all the flies and put them in win 10 runs fine once I had the Unofficial 3.02 Patch working my win 10 system did not recognize my CD so I got the Unofficial 3.02 Patch to fix that. I think because I did not do the installation the standard why that might be why the options new keep resetting to default.

You would be best to contact the author of that unofficial patch for solutions.

As far as I've ever been aware the special options in the unofficial 3.0.2 patch are always reset on rebooting the game due to system limitations. That's why it comes with the options to save and load settings. The idea is that you tweak your settings how you like them, hit "save settings," then the next time you play when everything gets reset, open the options and hit "load settings" to automatically restore everything to what you had set it to previously.
