I haven't seen one of those in quite some time now and I'd love to see what you guys have come up with and against!
Since the game runs in such a small window I'd recommend running your screenshots through waifu2x before posting them here, link (just select artwork, medium noise reduction, 1.6x upscaling and then download, then upload through your favorite image uploader, should be good).
Let me be the one to make the introduction!
One of the toughest battles I've ever done. This fight took place on a map called Permeon (flawless design, probably my favorite map ever) where there are a handful of dungeons with levels higher than 11, something you don't see often. In this case, a level 12 Life Keep. The result is this: every military unit is replaced by a Legendary unit. Problem is, the pheonix is quite different than most other legendary due to the fact it can revive in the middle of battle if given enough time to regenerate. This is usally not a problem since such a powerful creature is usually alone.. But here?! Their high defense and health means you can't take them out quickly, even as an Arch Demon with decent items. This was one of the toughest battles I ever did, not because it was mechanically complex or anything, but because at this point you got a specific time to finish it before the enemy rises up again and essentially makes this battle nevernding, pretty much meaning a lose. This battle alone introduced a new aspect to the entire game and It was amazing to pull it off. Blessed be this mod and this map.
Ahh, Adonaïos.. One of the most memorable playthrough I've ever had so far in all my play time of Lords of Magic. An Executioner of Order, my favorite Leader leading knights and crossbowmen into battle. Taking into himself to defeats Balkoth and his whole army, a feat he pulled off really close, still having no choice but to let Balkoth run away this time, still a massive victory.. Balkoth would never recover from that defeat and would die a few days later. Looks like Death has a new champion!
Some sillyness. This is what happens when a stupid shaman who could see you for a mere second cast Polymorph Other onto you!! Stealthy Hydra..
That name sure checks out! So much for knights of honor and pride..
You just love to see it! I remember chasing him for weeks in this game, probably after destroying his realm, can tell because of his empty pockets.. You know, I tend to underestimate a lot the leaders I don't really play, like this one which ended up in a really good and fun gameplay. "Hey, surely the Air Warlord is a worst Fire Warlord right?!", Well I was very wrong. This is also why I think this mod is one of the best designed and balanced mod ever, every single leader has a different set of strengths and weaknesses sometimes more subtle than you'd think, making every single one of them worth playing.
And finally, a very recent screenshot, taken from a new playthrough on my "fixed" version of that large urak map. Nothing special here, except this screenshot is very satisfying to me for a specific reason ; When the AI just spends so much of its time to take over your resources buildings, invade your villages and military buildings and mock you with its constant thieves here and there, when you finally grab the one responsible of all of this by the neck, I don't know it's just so satisfying, especially when they're the one to attack you afterwards and miserably fail. Serving some right justice always leaves a good taste in my mouth. Serves them right!
