I've searched Youtube extensively but not found any multiplayer videos either, sadly. I know some people had success using Game Ranger awhile ago, but not sure how viable that is now.
This doesn't help, but I managed to have a multiplayer game back in 1999 with my sister, I was Death she was Life. We got to about turn 10 and the game crashed, [Laugh out Loud]

I've been scouring YouTube for multi-player playthroughs or at least some game play footage of Lord's of Magic but haven't found anything informative. I have no idea how LoM even WORKS during multi-player, can you still pause combat, win by killing Balkoth, etc If anyone could link me to videos that will teach me about multiplaye4 I'd be very 🙏 I use Kali Game Ranger to play LoMSE multiplayer online- I force my sister to play with me, maybe I can make a video soon. It has been some years though. This is copy and pasted from my Steam account forum for LOMSE: I use a program called Kali to play LOMSE quite often and many times over the past deacde. It even works with MODS! Type in Kali game server in google. "Kali is an IPX network emulator for DOS and Windows, enabling legacy multiplayer games to work over a modern TCP/IP network such as the Internet..."
Once you download Kali you ADD your game by uploading into Kali. Both players need Kali and need to be uploading the same version (modded or otherwise, steam, GOG etc) of Lords of Magic Special Edition into Kali to play Online.
Open Kali, and use this to access your Lords of Magic Game and run it from there. At the main menu screen at the start select Multiplayer. Multiplayer has several options. WON.net is defunct.
I use Direct Cable, although I am pretty sure Modem and Local Network also emulate on Kali just fine and the same way. When you select Direct Cable or any options it asks you to create or join a room. Somebody creates and another joins. If you create the room it will ask to create a name as well. The other person joins the rooms name by typing it in.
Select type of champion and then your faith, when you hit start you will be at the multiplayer option screen. You can set parameters like starting gold, which map, etc.
Wait here for the other player(s) to join the room, you will see there leader fill one of 8 boxes ontop. I have only played 1 v 1. I know some people used to do 3 players but I heard it crashes after 4 players. When they join hit the start button. Other known issues in multiplayer is I recommend staying out of multi-level dungeons. If you clear the first level, just go back to overworld map and dont continue because you will soft lock the game for some reason. Unless your Chaos and Death and you can use a spell to kill your entire party or you will be stuck in battle. I think you can save games too and return later.
I may create a post later in the Imperial United Proboards Forums, home of Mantera's Mod. It is the largest active Lords of Magic forum run by Boaster. You all should join if not already a . Have fun hope it works let me know if you have any issues

Not sure if anyone knows this, but I don't think it is technically possible to play LOMSE multiplayer with more than 4 players, even though there are 8 slots on the multiplayer pre-game room.
I've never tried to do it, but I don't think it possible based on what I had seen from Game Script coding.
