Wow did you write that? It's very detailed as always! I enjoyed reading the tropes, though I thought the "AI Brilliance" paragraph was sarcasm until the saw the AI Stupidity bit underneath.
Yeah, not an anime game fan myself either, I really can't stand the artstyle, spikey hair styles, over the top voice acting, 12 year old looking female characters with high-pitched voices etc. The only Asian game I really enjoyed was the Zelda series.
