Hey guys, just posting some more of my Lords of Magic Earth 3D renders, hope you like them!
You may notice I’ve gender swapped the Halfling Thief and made him female, as I wanted to add more variation within their ranks. I will be creating a male version as well. I also gave the Gnome magician a stave, as he was missing one in the original.
One of the aspects of Earth design I love in LOM is how they are a bit different to most interpretations of Dwarfes, which tend to go down the technological, underground mining type route (Like WoW or LOTR dwarfes). Whereas the races or Earth have clearly forgone technology and embraced a much more earthly, nature vibe. I tried to keep this theme going in my designs.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad people seem to like them, hearing feedback is really inspirational for creating more renders in homage to this great game!
I've been testing with animations within UE5, it all seems to be working fine with perfect frame rate, so my optimization has been successful, and the units would work well within a game. Though I haven't run a stress test yet, though, as these are champions you'd only ever see x6 at most on screen during a battle. I want to create the other standard earth units as well, though will be aiming for lower poly models for performance.
There are some minor issues with UE5 shaders, making the textures look more shiny than they should look, but this can easily be fixed.
More Earth models! I;ve been working on their buildings which has been alot of fun, I've always loved the organic and primordial feel of the Earth faith within Lords of Magic, this is my interpretation of these gnomish and dwarven living structures. I've tried to visualize and improve on the originals rather than create clones, so you'll notice some differences. Feedback welcome of course!
