My fourth version LOMSE mod was released within the past several days. It contains many changes and alterations to the game. Some spells were even added to the Library Books, and some spells were even changed!
Most spells slightly tweaked.
All stat boosting spells now effectively reduce the stats of opposite faiths. For example, using stone hands on Earth units gives that unit +3 attack and ranged attack, while it gives air units -1 both. Other units get +2 to both.
For instance, Wheel of Fortune was changed to Roulette, which targets all enemies in combat. Each of these enemies has a random chance to to gain +(-1 to 1) Attack, Armor, Ranged Attack, Missile Range, with -(25 to +25)% Missile Resistance, and Order Units get -(0 to 100)% Chaos Resistance.
The spell Crash was changed to Gamble, does the same as Roulette, but targets your party instead. And with Gamble, all chaos units gain +(0 to 100)% Chaos Resistance, and +(0 to 25)% Missile Resistance.
Minor Fate was renamed to Change of Fate, and changed to a combat spell, which targets the caster's party. It boosts attack, armor, and ranged attack, and these effects vary with the caster's level.
Tremor is now a researchable spell, which costs 24 mana, has a long casting time and recovery time, targets all enemies, and does damage equal to the Caster's level.
The Lords are capable of reaching level 15.
System of balance looks like this:
Champions > Non-Legendary Creatures
Tier1 and Tier2 Creatures = Infantry or Cavalry
Tier3 Creatures > or = Infantry or Cavalry
Cavalry > Missile Troops
Missile Troops > Infantry
Infantry > Cavalry
Legendary Creatures > All
Lords > All
Air Warriors and Fire Warriors no longer constantly block enemy fire. They attack through attacks, and show no defense animations. However, when they are actually stricken by enemy attacks, they display an animation.
Lords have slightly faster combat movement (1 point difference from their corresponding champion). Lords also have more HP, mana, armor, attack, etc, and can reach level 15.
Lich and Lancelot are the only non-lord champions that may also reach level 15.
Murauding type units (trolls orcs goblins, etc) can reach level 6.
All land based scouts have 22 or more movement points. All air based scouts have 20.
The selection of a Death Lord no longer switches to Balkoth. However, the name entered for the Death Lord changes to "Archimonde" inside the game.
Starting artifacts give pluses to stats based on the champion's level. Artifacts with +(Level/3) stats will always give the +1 bonus if the champion is less than level 3. Artifacts with +(Level/5) will not give that bonus until the champion is atleast level 5.
Balkoth's Scythe can be wielded by any Faith or Class, but comes at a price (you'll just have to find out).
Map Editor now allows the placement of Faith Specific mines, brews, and statues. Also faith specific caves and multi level caves are placeable. New placeable doodads.
New cheats added to the game, while "zilla" cheat was removed/replaced.
Lord Editor has some goodies (its a suprise).
Well, anyways, this for the most part covers it. Check it out, I highly recommend it.
