Owned. Turn 49 again. This time it was fire, though. I'm totally stumped. Guess it's not the two-headed ogres? On Water playthroughs I can barely make it to double digit turns, something is really weird with this map. I don't know too much but was this map made using Hex editing hacks?

I rolled back to Urak XL v2 and it seems to be working. I'm on turn 52 now anyway

Game keeps crashing on turn 52. Playing fire. It goes to Chaos's turn and I hear the cat moving and it just crashes

So I’ve updated the main post with the version with fewer dungeons and fixed the Death Temple. And made it clear that this map risks crashes. I’ve tried testing on large maps with zero dungeons, and the game still seems to crash eventually on the AI players turn. In my opinion, the AI cannot handle a map size this large and eventually gets confused and causes an infinite loop crash.
It would be interesting to see how stable or unstable maps are that are somewhat bigger than the standard Urak map, but not as big as this mammoth sized map. Anyone know what the standard Urak size map dimensions are?
Anyway, as we haven't been able to fix the issue, at least players will get a warning that this map is not stable before testing, I will update the Reddit version of this thread as well.

The issue there is that the v2 of the huge urak scn works fine. I have a game in the 100s there

This map is awesome, but it crashes very often. In my case, it is due to some dungeons and it happens mostly in chaos or fire turn. When the C2D appears I load the save and use "see all" to scan the map. It often happens when the CPU wants to attack a "wild beast" dungeon. I then wanted to fight the dungeon myself and in autocalc mode my game also crashes. But if I fight it myself it works.

Ok so I really think you might be onto something here! I've just tested this on a completely new map and the game crashes every time, whenever I use Autocalc on a Wilderness dungeon.
This map has a lot of Wilderness dungeons, it has a lot of all dungeons types, but eventually an AI player is going to attempt to clear a Wilderness dungeon as their armies start to fan out from the start capital. I doubt this dungeon type is even used on the vanilla Urak map, hence why it's not encountered in normal games. I wanted to include every type of dungeon to give the map as much variety as possible, this may have been the map's undoing.
The solution might be to simply go through the map and remove every Wilderness dungeon. I'll start work on this tonight but may be a few days before I'm finished depending upon how much time I have. I will also test the autocalc feature on other dungeons which aren't typically found with vanilla Urak games, as the Wilderness dungeon type might not be the only issue.
Thanks for your insight, Boedel! Whether this is the cause for the many crashes or not, you've definitely uncovered a bug with this dungeon type! Hopefully @mantera will see this post and look into the issue for future releases.

So I won't need to take these out the map? I had a quick hunt for Wilderness dungeons but it was surprisingly hard due to the number of dungeons and the world editors tendency to not display dungeons.

However, I have not found a fix for the sprites on the map editor not showing.

I have run several times through, auto-calcing for both Wilderness dungeon on the overland map. No issue. Is the game you're playing on your map from a saved game from before the fix in the most recent mod build? If so, if you're loading a save game which was started in a build where there problems, then the problems can still persist on that old save.

Sadly I've had to give up trying to get this to work, even after removing all "Wilderness" dungeons from the map, and with Manteras fix, I still crash on turn 60 with this map. This time it crashed on the Death lords turn, so seems not to be limited by faction. It crashes every time on the same turn.
If it's not being caused by a specific dungeon, then I think the cause might just be sheer size of the map and number of dungeons in the game. Or, it could be there's another dungeon type that causes a crash when it's auto-calculated. This map makes use of all dungeon types for more variation, so there's stuff in here you wouldn't see in a normal vanilla Urak play through. I might replace all the non-standard dungeons with the vanilla type ones at some point, but don't have the time at the moment.
