I've removed the shroud and tried to view where death is going and what dungeons they go into during the turn. I can't see that they enter any dungeons at all to be honest, but the map is so huge, it could be anywhere. Is there a way to edit a savegame file and change which faction is controlled by the player?

I wanted to share this beautiful large and highly detailed map with other LOM fans, originally created by Mummra, the map has been further improved upon by Tempest 747 and myself. I know there are other large maps out there, but this huge map has been carefully crafted to resemble the layout and feel of Urak as closely as possible, and contains a massive amount of varied and interesting dungeons and landscapes for you to explore. This map is for people wanting a longer, more epic game experience! Also posted to Reddit
Oh god- that map! It took me forever... so so long to make it. I'm so happy to see someone still enjoys it. It really made my day ^_^

Is there a way to edit a savegame file and change which faction is controlled by the player? Old thread, however, in case no one ever found another solution... I resolved a similar issue by cheating and killing the "WILDERNESS" level 5 and 6 encounters placed on the map with a pair of "Zilla" generated dragons. In the COMBAT log, Chaos kept crashing my save on this map whenever it tried to clear "WILDERNESS" encounters. Anytime I tried to auto-resolve these encounters the game crashed as well. However, entering and clearing them manually worked fine.

Wilderness encounters breaking the game? I know there was an issue at one point with them, but I thought it was resolved.
Just Level 5 and 6?

That was the only issues I had with this play-through (so far.) Everything else has been fairly smooth sailing... other than the insane amount of thieves the AI is fielding around my city, but that's likely nothing new. I'd say the mod is still great play experience, and I appreciated the "insane" mode flag. ^_^ I scraped this from the log- (Turn 39) A Chaos party has engaged combat in a Wilderness (Level 5). Lords of Magic has been launched. (crash) (Turn 45) A Chaos party has engaged combat in a Wilderness (Level 5). Lords of Magic has been launched. I have no expirence in modding, so im just brainstorming. The main problem seems to be to determan what is the main reason for the crash.
- Is it a problem with the dungeon, the faction, or both?
- If the problem is with the faction, is there a mechanic in place to prevent chaos/ or other KI faction from entering these levels, or to make them "invisible" to the faction?
- If the problem is the dungon, is there an easy way to determine the problematic dungon types or rule out all dungon types that do not cause problems?
If you have a possible solution, I would be happy to do some test runs.

Ah so this crash also happens with the Briny Deeps dungeons? This would explain a alot.
Even after Boasters fix for the Wilderness, the game would still crash when auto resolve is done on Wilderness dungeons, so I deleted all of this dungeon type from the game but it would still crash a number of turns in. At some point I'll try deleting all the Briny Deeps and see if this helps, but to be honest I'm less enthusiastic for playing on a map of this size now because of all the issues I've had.
