First of all I started a new game as a Chaos Thief and picked up the Gloves in the custom menu. No spell. Then I gave the gloves to a Chaos Warrior. No Spell.
Yesterday I started a new game with a Death Thief. I picked up the gloves in a Dungeon. No spell.
I think there is sth wrong with the trigger at the beginning of the combat.

That could be done. In file 'gs/dlg/NEWBUILD5.gs', look for line 3835 or text "; TRAIN/HIRE UP ARROW" in that file. /max_unittype 18 selected_unit UNITTYPE_SPECIAL_UNIT_TYPE getunittypedata -1 gt{pop 9}if selected_unit UNITTYPE_CODE getunittypedata CR3 eq{pop 9}if ; selected_unit UNITTYPE_CODE getunittypedata CR5 eq{selected_unit UNITTYPE_FAITH getunittypedata WATER eq{pop 6}{pop 1}ifelse}if def /minimum_units_allowed? 18 def /maximum_units_allowed? city_count 99 mul minimum_units_allowed? min def Found your previous comment about removing army limits, so happy am I! Thanks for all you do Boaster!

Thanks for that latest update! Jumping right into a game this evening, to see what these new enemy AI forces will be like.

Here's my first impression on playing with the mod latest two patches (November 2019).
Facing tougher AI opponents is AWESOME. Now I know that every time I want to beat a city I have to face the legendary creature and huge armies, and I think that's what's the game is about: defeating epic monsters by needing to cast powerful spells. Regarding spells, I now see clearly it's a place where you mod shines. Now that we're facing bigger monsters and big armies, magic becomes very much needed and you have to take into account mana, resistances, hit points, artifacts, scrolls, potions, etc. closely. Therefore the micro is very enjoyable. I haven't faced Balkoth yet but I can't wait to try to beat Balkoth + Lich in the same army!
For the 140 turns rule I'm not sure I understand. If I kill/lose a legendary at turn 139 I can summon it again next turn? But if I kill/lose it at turn 141 I have to wait turn 280? It doesn't make sense but I might understand it wrong. It would be more logical to start a countdown right when the creature dies (but maybe it's hard to program).
More feedbacks soon, as I haven't played the latest patches much yet.

I can certainly agree that a countdown mechanism would be great, I am just however finding it difficult to implement. And yes, as the mod stands for now, there is a limit of 1 Legendary summon per 140 turns. Before, it was a once in a lifetime (game) summon. Only one can exist on the map at a time, regardless of ownership. However, you may be mistaking one aspect. The true/false counter for whether or not a Legendary is summoned is reset at increment turns of 140. If you have a Legendary summoned from turn 139, and the legendary dies at turn 200, you can summon that same Legendary creature again immediately at turn 200, but the next counter reset doesn't occur until 280. So, if you have a Legendary summoned and it lives through 281 turns, you can summon him again ONCE, until the next increment. Basically, the counter resets from TRUE to FALSE allowing it to be summonable, but if he never dies, then that counter can reset to FALSE any number of times but it will always be recognized as FALSE. It's not an integral counter. As simple as it sounds on the end-user side, for me as the modder this is a huge breakthrough like you cannot imagine. There may be time down the line to improve upon this, but only time plus creativity will tell.

It's definitely a huge improvement from the previous status. And indeed, I had not understood 100% how it worked. There's no denying in how much of a breakthrough in modding you reach. That's probably why I'm still playing this game, you always find novelties no matter how complicated programming is. I'm always full of ideas, but I rarely know how implementable they are, only you can tell.

Hello @boaster/@mantera -
I created an account on this nice forum community in hopes of reaching you.
I recently downloaded LOMSE from GOG.com to re-live a game I enjoyed many years ago, you know... chase the nostalgia.
It certainly didn't disappoint as it was great to start up a fresh map with the Life party (I went thief).
It's still a great game, very unique, but as you know some issues exist with the original copy.
So... this caused me to look into any mods that may have been made for this great game.
I was thrilled to find your mod and your website and was eager to download the latest GS5R3 version with the PIC5R3 files.
However, upon attempting to download from your website, it doesn't seem to work for me.
Upon clicking the GS5R3 link (found here: mantera.xorgate.com/mods/GS5/mpq/GS5R3.rar) it simply shows me a bunch of code and offers no actual download.
The PIC5R3 link (found here: mantera.xorgate.com/downloads/PIC5R3.rar) also shows the same thing.
I browsed around for another link but wasn't able to find anything else.
In light of this, here I am hoping to reach you and humbly request an alternate link in which to download both the GS5R3.rar files and the PIC5R3.rar files. Per your website, it looks like you have provided an update to the GS5R3 mod as recently at 11/17/19.
Is there any chance you could provide a fellow LOMSE fan with this? It looks like you've done great work and I'd love to play the mod you have worked so hard on.
Let me know - Dropbox, fixed link, alternate link, whatever works.
Thank you sir, I appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
A fellow LOMSE fan.

Your mod loads up great and looks awesome, I am already noticing quite a few changes. False alarm on the download link!! But I'll be sure to provide feedback as it seems you're still actively working on this.
thanks anyways Mantera/Boaster - I am excited to dive into this mod.

As far as what I am seeing, there are no issues with the file. Try clicking those links and doing a "Save Link As" option. That should work nicely.

Great! Just as I finished a game with build 3206. I beat Balkoth and his Lich with three level 5 earth wizards and a couple of grendels... Rocksling is strong.

There seems to be significant flaw somewhere in the last update that eventually leads the game into a crash. Not sure what it could be.
It seems to occur almost randomly. I cannot isolate the issue.
